Book of Esther
from the Greek Septuagint
World English Bible Translation
What are the chances of an orphaned girl from a despised and captive people rising to become queen of a foreign nation? Not very likely. Yet this is the story of Hadassah, a Jewish girl who became Queen Esther of Persia.
The Biblical account of Esther is replete with aspects of intrigue, conspiracy, and evil plots foiled. Although the name of God is not mentioned in the Hebrew record, we note His regard in this translation, and there is no doubt of Providential involvement.
